Other Information
DR Productions has been created by Dallas Jones and Roger Reynolds so that fans of Doctor Who, its spin-offs and other similar Sci Fi / SF / Speculative fiction genres, have a place to publish their own works, view other people’s efforts and make contact with like-minded enthusiasts. Please browse our Website to find out more about us and our mission.
Some brief notes on navigating our website can be found here.
Dallas Jones and Roger Reynolds are delighted to announce the introduction of the DR Productions Audio Website.
This is our own standalone Audio-Server website, aimed at providing a more comprehensive vehicle with which we and our contributors can showcase their works. It hosts all works previously available on our PodBean service and new material plus extra features like the ability to make online comments about the audios.
Talking of new material, we have a new audio production venture called “Tales From the Matrix”. This consists of readings of short stories published under the “Tales From The Matrix” moniker, by “The Guardians Of Gallifrey” – a Doctor Who club from Florida – USA. The authors of these stories have agreed that they can be made into audio readings. The first story is “The Seven Doctors” written by David Dietz and he has kindly provided us with a recording of him reading the story. This has been followed by “Culture Clash” written by Laura Dove and read by our own, indefatigable, Darran Jordan.
We also are continuing to provide all these audios (with a dash of visuals) on our YouTube site with part one of the just recently uploaded “Culture Clash” available to view. It will be followed shortly by part two and then over the next few weeks all four parts of “The Seven Doctors”.
Finally, we also wish to apologise for the long break from us, it is mainly being due to Covid. Over the coming months, we hope to bring a regular supply of new material for you to enjoy.
We are happy to announce the second offering in our
“The Darran Jordan Adventures’ range

This is the first of three parts of “Rainbow Serpent”
A Doctor Who adventure set in Australia.
It is available in a number of different file formats and on various platforms.
Please follow this link to the website page to find out the full details.
We have been fairly quiet since just before Xmas and apologise for ‘going underground’. The first part of Rainbow Serpent audio has taken longer than expected to compete as we wanted to make sure it was as perfect as we could make it.
The next audio in “The Darran Jordan Adventures” which we plan to release, will be the second and final part of The Nexus.
Dallas specifically wishes to sincerely apologise for the delay in Trap Street. A Trap Street special was announced as coming soon a number of months ago. It is nearly competed and should be out (fingers-crossed) in April.
The next regular issue, Number 6, which had been put on the back-burner by Dallas will go into pre-production in the next few weeks and hopefully will be out in June.

A musical piece by Roger Reynolds
I have always thought that Delia Derbyshire never received the recognition due to her for that amazing Doctor Who Theme. And so I decided to concoct a musical piece, as an “Homage” to her, something embodying that enigmatic theme but using today’s digital technology.
I had been working on the “Homage to Delia Derbyshire” for quite a while, without knowing that 23rd November was “Delia Derbyshire Day.”
That the final version of my Homage was ready, i.e. completed slightly ahead of time, and just happened to coincide with this specific date is, well, absolute serendipity.
As are my compositional preferences, the piece is, at times, multi-layered using concurrent fragments of the theme played against each other using different instrumentation.
It’s best heard (I think) turned up loud with the sound just washing over you.
It’s kinda ethereal – well I think so.
As always – we’d love your feedback at: editors@drpoductionsaus.org
I hope you like it.
